About Us
Part of a modern complex of buildings including Arnold Leisure Centre and Arnold Library, the theatre is a flat floor space situated on the first floor, with raked seating (178 seats) and an adjacent, well-appointed bar with soft furnishings and a baby grand piano.
We provide a wide-ranging, mixed programme of amateur and professional performances including jazz, folk and popular music gigs, drama and dance and more traditional community-produced drama, and we are the official home to the ever-popular Bonington Players as well as the Nottingham Organ Society, Flying High Expressive Arts and Jazz Steps.
Cinema has made up an increasing amount of our programme over the last few years, with all the latest blockbusters, Oscar winners and art-house favourites being shown!
We have good physical access including a lift to the theatre floor. Customers with accessibility issues are advised to sit on A row, which is on the theatre floor and is the only row with step-free access. For wheelchair users, the front row is also advised, however please call the Box Office in order to book so we know what arrangements you may need. Rows B, J and K have a little extra leg-room, as denoted by the ‘i’ button on our seating plan.
There is ample car parking for the theatre, with the outdoor car park free for 2 hours with a ticket. The car park is free after 6pm on weekdays, and there is no charge all day on a Sunday.
For Cinema and Event Cinema bookings, a Concession ticket applies to those who are 18 and under, in full or part-time education (ie-Students) or those over the age of 65. We also run a £4 membership offer for those aged 16 – 25. All other Tickets are considered to be Standards. The Under 2 Free Ticket is for children 2 and under, and they are allocated a seat with this ticket. For theatre and live music, shows are priced individually. Information on tickets can be found on our website or by calling the box office.
Tickets can be collected before the show from the Box Office, however this is not a requirement for entry. Please note there is a £1 non-refundable transaction charge for all online bookings. The film will start promptly at the stated time (no ads or trailers!)
We always welcome feedback as it helps us to understand how we can grow and improve. You can leave us feedback in different ways, and you can also read some of the kind words said about us here or here!
