Guitarist Remi Harris has been receiving rave reviews for over a decade, since emerging from the seething jazz hotspots of Herefordshire. Blessed as he is with a formidable technique and a genuine love of the music, his star is firmly in the ascendant.
‘An extraordinary musician’ (Jamie Cullum), Remi is a virtuoso whose unique style draws inspiration from artists such as Django Reinhardt, Jimi Hendrix, Wes Montgomery – one of the most influential American jazz guitarists of the twentieth century – Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac) and Led Zeppelin, and from blues specialists Stevie Ray Vaughan and Freddie King.
Remi has been performing with Tom Moore for over ten years, during which time they have developed a remarkable musical affinity. Since graduating from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Tom has performed around the UK and has appeared at prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall and The North Sea Jazz Festival, and more recently supporting Jools Holland.
This duo setting showcases an eclectic mix of gypsy swing, jazz, blues, rock, flamenco and world music; jazz standards, improvisations, original compositions and new arrangements of his favourite tunes.

Billy Fury is widely regarded as the UK’s answer to Elvis Presley and one of the few ‘authentic’ Rock’n’Roll artists that the country has produced.
With James Dean iconic good looks and a fantastic voice which could adapt between raspy rocker to big balladeer, Billy Fury had it all…apart from his poor health, a weak heart making him a ticking time bomb with his belief that he would be dead by the age of 21.
A talented songwriter, Fury was the UK’s first artist to entirely write all of the songs for his debut album, the now legendary The Sound Of Fury before moving into big ballads and huge success throughout the 1960’s gaining more weeks in the UK top ten than even the mighty Beatles.

One of the UK’s premier ‘entertainment organists’ as well as a truly international ambassador in the field of electronic and theatre organ music, Chris Powell returns to the Bonington for the Organ Society’s November concert.
Jazz in the bar this month features award winning saxophonist John Sanderson playing flute ,and bass clarinet in addition to the usual tenor, alto and baritone saxes.
Jazz vocalist Sue Benson presents a selection of great jazz standards. All accompanied by Bob Hudson’s superb jazz trio.
