Jazz Steps: Fergus McCreadie Trio

music

Available dates

Thursday 26 May @ 7.30 PM

Fergus McCreadie is a complete and well-rounded musician, a passionate communicator and consummate performer. He is a composer of elegant, nuanced and captivating music as well as a pianist and improviser of exceptional ability and originality.

The music is dynamic and it excites with a youthful but masterful flair. Fergus’,  compositions  move effortlessly from impressionistic modal searchings to high octane, hard driving jigs and nuanced ballads underpinned by democratic improvisation.

Above all else there is a distinct Scottish feel to his music. He paints pictures of lochs & Munroes (Scottish mountains over 3000 ft to the uninitiated) as well as of images of Scottish Ceilidhs with the scotch flowing.  Grab a wee dram from the bar sit back and try to stop your feet from tapping.

This is a night you’ll be sure to remember.

Fergus McCreadie (piano) David Bowden (bass) Stephen Henderson (drums)
